Mecanex Romania has launched a new innovative irrigation pump model
Mecanex Botosani, the only Romanian manufacturer of industrial pumps, has just launched a new product, designed and produced entirely by Mecanex engineers. The new model, MEX MV 300, is a vertical multistage pump, equipped with an electric motor located at the top of the aggregate.
“It is the most innovative and versatile solution in the field of pumps and can be used in irrigation systems, in the water supply of localities and others. The MEX-MV 300 pumps are equipped with German motors and are capable of supporting flow rates up to 1500 m3/h, pumping maximum height of 110 meters”, said Ciprian Bidaşca, the general manager of Mecanex.
The model was designed for clean water but it can also transport water easily impregnated with solid suspensions up to 300 mg / l.
Mecanex SA Botosani is a fully owned Romanian private company, founded in 1972. At present, the main shareholder is Ciprian Bidaşcă, who also holds the position of general manager. The company is located in the industrial area of Botosani, has about 140 employees and covers an area of 45,000 sqm.
Earlier this week, after a period of more than 25 years in which it did not work, the Pumping Water Station of Costeşti Botosani County was inaugurated in the presence of the Romanian Minister of Agriculture, Petre Daea.
The repair works at two of the four pumping equipment were carried out by Mecanex SA, Botosani. Within this project, made up of government funds, two NDS 18 type pumping aggregates with their associated automation and hydromechanical works were rehabilitated. The investment worth 749,997 lei was made in a very short time.
“This project was a great challenge for us because the equipment was in an advanced state of degradation. We are very pleased that we have been able to finalize the works before the limited deadline we initially established with the Minister. This was also possible due to the good collaboration we had with the representatives of the territorial branches of the National Agency for Land Improvements from Iasi and Botosani. The investments in irrigation systems implicitly support the country’s industry, being the only factory producing industrial pumps in Romania “said Ciprian Bidaşcă, at the inauguration of the pumping station.
Agriculture Minister Petre Daea said he is very pleased with the quality of the work and the promptness and seriousness that Mecanex representatives have demonstrated, this project being just the first step in the field of agricultural investments and in the irrigation projects in Botosani County which are on the plan.
